2022 World Cup: Otto Addo and his technical team must be firm - John Paintsil

Former Ghana defender, John Paintsil says the Black Stars technical team must be firm in everything they do especially in selecting players for the 2022 World Cup.

According to the former Fulham defender, the technical team knows what they want and they shouldn't allow external pressure to pollute their search.

"Otto Addo and his staff know what they are looking for. The coaches must stand firm and believe in their abilities," he told BBC Sports.

Coach Otto Addo has submitted his 55 man provisional squad to FIFA. He is expected to announce the final 26 man squad in the coming days.

The has been a lot of speculation about the 55 man provisional squad and the 26 man final squad. Some football pundits and fans are not happy coach Otto Addo did not release the 55 man squad.

Ghana will take on Switzerland in their last international friendly game on November 17th before flying to Doha, Qatar to prepare for the official kick off of the Mundial.
