Asante Kotoko striker, Steven Mukwala has revealed that the words of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II have inspired the playing body to win games.
The life patron of the club held a meeting with the technical team and the players in April after a torrid start in the second half of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Following the meeting, the Porcupine Warriors have recorded three wins and a draw in their last four games played.
However, the Ugandan striker beleives the words of the wise King has been the secret behind their their rejuvenated performances.
"The motivation and words of wisdom from the King have motivated us a lot," he told the club website.
"It was a way of reminding everyone how big Asante Kotoko is. That’s the motivation we have right now," he added.
Asante Kotoko following their 2-0 win over Legon Cities in the Matchday 29 games now sit 10th on the league log with 40 points.
The Reds will be hosted by Berekum Chelsea in the Matchday 30 games at the Golden City Park this weekend.
