Asante Kotoko NCC chairman Christopher Damenya has indicated that the club will aim to reach the group stage of the African competition it will be competing in next season.

After a very good season, the Ghanaian giants have been crowned champions of the Ghana Premier League for the 2021/22 season.

Courtesy of the triumph, Asante Kotoko will be given the chance to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Championship League should the club meet certain requirements.

Speaking to Akoma FM, NCC chairman Christopher Damenya has opened up on the club’s target for the Africa campaign.

“Next season we will try to retain the league but our target now is to make it into the group stages of the African competition.

“What all fans of Kotoko are now dreaming of is getting to the money zone and that is our target,” Christopher Damenya said.

He said he has no doubt that if the club strengthens its squad, it will be able to achieve that target.
