Black Queens striker, Priscilla Adubea has set her sights on helping Ghana to win the maiden edition of the WAFU Women's Cup in Ivory Coast.

The senior female national team left the shores of the country for Ivory Coast on Sunday ahead of the tournament, which begins on Wednesday.

Ghana are in group A with host Ivory Coast, Niger and Burkina Faso.

The striker who has been in superb form finished last season top scorer in the Women League and was top scorer in the FIFA Women's Under-20 World Cup qualifiers.

"Our target is to go and win the competition," she said ahead of their departure. "So all we ask is the support of Ghanaians and their prayers.

"After the WAFU, we have AFCON to host so the performance we put up at the competition will determine the kind of support we will get from the nation.

"So we plead to Ghanaian to keep on praying for us and we will go and make Ghana proud," she added.

The Black Queens will open their campaign against host Ivory Coast, before facing Niger and Ivory Coast in group A.
