Parma Calcio's Director of Sport, Mauro Pederzoli, has hailed Zion Suzuki as one of the youngest talents in his position following his signing with the Serie A club.

Pederzoli revealed that the club had to navigate a challenging negotiation process due to the high demand for the young player.

Zion Suzuki played in 32 games in the Jupiler Pro League last season for Sint-Truidense, displaying his athleticism, moral integrity, and technical prowess, all of which have helped to establish him as a prominent player worldwide.

Pederzoli expressed his delight in landing the young talent, who has already gained substantial experience in both Japan and Belgium.

"We pursued him strongly, but it was a long and complex negotiation. There was a lot of interest surrounding Zion, and he was highly sought after. In the end, both his desire and ours prevailed, leading to a mutual commitment to establish a lasting and fruitful relationship," he told Parma Calcio media.

"Our happiness is doubled considering he is one of the youngest talents in his position, with significant experience gained in both Japan and Belgium.

"Today, we welcome him alongside the entire Gialloblu community, confident that he will receive a warm and beautiful welcome from the team and our fans," he ended.
