Patric Pfeiffer is likely to stay with Darmstadt despite strong interest from Augsburg according to reports in Germany.
On Monday evening, SV Darmstadt 98 repeated their refusal to release the player. And, given Pfeiffer's context, nothing further is expected to happen before the transfer closes on Thursday.
According to the player's representative, the club is sticking to its stand and accepting it. Pfeiffer's Darmstadt contract expires at the end of the season.
Pfeiffer joined SV Darmstadt 98 from Hamburger SV in the summer of 2019.
In July 2022, the president of the Ghana FA, Kurt Okraku, announced that Pfeiffer was one of the few players that had officially switched allegiances to represent the Ghanaian senior national team internationally.
