PHOTOS: Medeama presents Ghana Premier League title to President Akufo-Addo

Ghana Premier League side, Medeama SC have paid a courtesy call on the President of the Republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The Tarkwa-based club excelled during the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season despite a slow start to the campaign.

At the end of the exciting league campaign, Medeama Sporting Club was crowned Champions after beating competition from the 17 other participating clubs.

As part of activities in the off-season, the Yellow and Mauve outfit on Wednesday, August 2, presented the Ghana Premier League trophy to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The presentation was done when the club visited the President at the seat of Presidency at Jubilee House.

Club board chairman Dr. Tony Aubynn led players and other officials of the club to do the presentation.

During the meeting, the club appealed for support ahead of its participation in next season’s CAF Champions League.

The President assured that he is rooting for the team to do well as representatives of the country.

In the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, Medeama SC have been drawn against Nigerian outfit Remo Stars FC.
