Portuguese giants, Sporting Lisbon have finalised a plan for Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

After months of speculations dating back to 2021, the talented teenager finally in February last month joined the Portuguese club.

Due to only being 17 years old, the former Steadfast FC poster boy could not sign a professional contract.

Fortunately, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has this week turned 18 and is now eligible to sign a professional contract.

To ensure he is integrated the right way into the Sporting Lisbon team, the forward in the last few weeks has been training with the club’s junior team.

Expected to sign a professional contract in the coming days, the club has decided that it will jump the player over two levels.

This means that he will not play for the Sporting U-23 team but will be included in the team’s senior team once he settles in and is in good shape.

Before joining Sporting, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored six goals for Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League.

He has been tipped as a future star for the Black Stars.
