Soon to be Ghana head coach, Chris Hughton has held a crunch meeting with the father of Callum Hudson-Odoi as he begins work in the background for the big job.

Last week, the former Brighton & Hove Albion manager arrived in Ghana after the GFA had sacked Black Stars gaffer Milovan Rajevac.

Reports subsequently suggested that he is the incoming Ghana coach even though it is understood that the officials of the GFA are not in favour of the appointment.

Today, reports gathered from Citi Sports indicate that Chris Hughton has had a meeting with the father of Ghana target Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Chelsea winger is also in Ghana for a short holiday period after the English Premier League went on a break.

Although nothing concrete has been decided on the winger playing for the Black Stars, it is said that Chris Hughton’s meeting with the player's father ended positively.

The top coach according to sources is in Accra this weekend and will meet with officials of the GFA and government this week to discuss becoming the new head coach of Ghana.
