Pre-season friendly: Kotoko draw 2-2 against lower division side Krystal Palace

Asante Kotoko has been stopped in its tracks today at the All Nations University Stadium in Koforidua during a friendly match against lower-tier side Krystal Palace which ended in a stalemate.

The Ghanaian giants have in the transfer window secured the services of a number of players to strengthen all departments of the team.

Currently pitching camp in Koforidua, Asante Kotoko today engaged lower-division side Krystal Palace for a pre-season friendly match.

In a game that the Ghana Premier League giant was really tested, they could not cruise to victory at the end of the 90 minutes.

A late goal for the less fancied side ensured that the game ended 2-2 to tell manager Maxwell Konadu that there is still a lot of work to be done before the new football season starts.

On the matchday, midfielder Adom Frimpong and striker Naby Keita scored for the Porcupine Warriors club.

The Reds will play a few friendly matches next weekend before going into the opening weekend of the Ghana Premier League season.
