West Ham United has been given planning permission to raise their matchday capacity at the London Stadium to 62,500, according to Sky Sports.

This will allow the team to move closer to its ultimate goal of a 67,000-seat capacity. If they can finally reach that amount, which would only be possible after improvements to the Bobby Moore and Sir Trevor Brooking stands, according to Sky Sports, they will have the capital's largest stadium.

Currently, West Ham is unbeaten and top of their Europa League group, as well as fourth in the Premier League, for the first time in a generation.
