Prize Money for Ghana women’s League winner revealed

Winner of the 2015/2016 National women’s league is set to pocket GHC 10,000 as prize money with the runner up of the competition taking home GHC 5,000 after it was confirmed by president of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi on Thursday at the women’s League stakeholders meeting held at the GFA Secretariat.

The GFA also confirmed that there will be a financial support of GHC 5000 to all 16 participating teams as part of preparation for league games.

This year’s competition will see an improved financial package after last year’s winner Hasaacas Ladies after victory over Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the final got GHC3000.

The second round of the National women’s league is set to return on June 18.
