Prosper Narteh is doing a good job at Kotoko - Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu

Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu has acknowledged the performance of coach Prosper Narteh Ogum at Kotoko despite inconsistent in the Ghana Premier League.

The great performance, orchestrated by former Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu, secured all three points for Nsoatreman and solidified their strong start to the season.

Stephen Diyou’s strike was enough for the home team to secure maximum points in the week 8 of the Ghana Premier League on Thursday.

Nsoatreman now lead the league table, with a one-point advantage over second-placed Aduana FC and a game in hand.

The Porcupine Warriors were in search of their first victory since October 13 but could not materialize as they suffer narrow defeat.

At the post-match conference, the former assistant coach of the Black Stars eulogized Prosper Narteh’s performance at Kotoko despite defeat.

“Prosper Ogum is doing a good job, in fact, he is doing his best for the club and will only need the support. This is a new team; players are fighting for places so sometimes things do not go as expected but you can clearly see the team needs time to get the result they want”

“I will urge the fans to exercise patience and I believe with time things will be fine. At the moment, they are struggling but we have a long way to go after just eight games, so the fans should be patience and I think the team will gel together and do well”

The defeat leaves Kotoko six points behind the league leaders, having collected only 10 points from eight games

Kotoko will host Dreams FC in the matchday 9 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
