PSG Superstar Marco Verratti Hints at Possible Barcelona Move in the Future

Marco Verratti, the darling of Paris, may have angered the top dogs at the Parc des Princes after admitting he could be interested in a move to La Liga giantsBarcelona in the future.

As reported by Goal.com ahead of PSG's Champions League last 16 clash with Barcelona at home on Tuesday, the Italian international said, "Even though I am currently in a good project and I feel at home, any player would play for Barcelona.

"They are still the best team in the world. They have the three best players in attack, and [Andres] Iniesta too. Iniesta, [Lionel] Messi and Neymar create a move in a second."

"It is a pleasure to be compared to a player like Xavi. That a team like Barcelona thinks of you is a source of pride and forces you to work harder. It is a great squad but I think of the present, not the future."

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Frenchcapital in the past, but PSG are intent on keeping the highly-rated central midfielder. Verratti will be crucial to his side ahead of the hotly anticipated clash in France and he was on hand to comment on the fixture.

"We are in a good moment. In recent years we have played a lot against Barca but every opportunity to do so I think is very beautiful. We know it is difficult. It will be important not to concede [an away goal] in the first leg. Let's see if it's possible."

PSG will go in to the game as underdogs, despite their billing as one of the continent's strongest teams, but they may be feeling confident going into the game considering the Catalan side's below-par season.
