Ghanaian speedster Quincy Owusu-Abeyie made his first appearance for NEC Nijmegen since completing a one-year deal in a 2-0 loss to Real Sociedad.
Nijmegen were downed by goals from Babic in the 34th minute and Juanmi in the 58th minute.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian had a good game with his pace being a constant threat. However, he was wasteful in the final third as Nijmegen lost at home.
Sociedad cruised comfortably to victory without fielding the likes of Carlos Vela, Imanol Agirretxe, Sergio Canales and Asier Illarramendi.
Quincy is hoping to relaunch his career with Nijmegen after the cancellation of his contract with Portuguese side Boavista last year.
