Rangers Interested in Loaning Arsenal Youngster Jon Toral

Rangers bossMark Warburton is believed to have flown to Spain in an effort to convince young Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral to come on loan to Ibrox until the end of the season.

The Spaniard is currently on loan at La Liga side Granada - but having played only six games this season it is believed Toral may wish to end his loan early.

If this does happen, theDaily Express are reporting that Rangers are ready to pounce in order tosecure Toral's services.

Rangers boss Mark Warburton has previously worked with Toral. The duo were together at Brentford in the 2014/15 season, when the Bees made it to the play-off semi finals.

The Arsenal youngster spent last season on loan at BirminghamCity where he was awarded both the Players' and Supporters' Player of the Season, after 36 appearances and eight goals for the Blues.

Toral came through the famous Barcelona youth academy and was signed by Arsenal in 2011 for a fee believed to be around £300k.

Rangers are enjoying their first season back in the SPL following the club's financial struggles which saw them relegated to the Scottish Third Division in 2012.

Theycurrently sit second in the table but are a whopping 19points behind Celtic in the title race.

The two Glasgow rivals met on Saturday where Rangers were on the wrong side of a 2-1 defeat.

Rangers next two games are against Motherwell. The sidesmeet on 21st January for a fourth round Scottish Cup tie before squaring off in the league a week later.
