After six years of service at Medeama SC, talented midfielder Rashid Nortey has left the Ghana Premier League side.
Nortey joined the Mauve and Yellow in 2017, a remarkable career in Tarkwa saw him make over 100 appearances in the Ghana Premier League and other competitions.
Following the midfielder's contract's expiry, the parties have decided to part ways. In 2017, he signed a three-year initial contract, which was extended by another three years in 2020.
The midfield dynamo is a tremendous hit with Tarkwa residents and team supporters alike.
Departing Rashid Nortey issued a short statement via the club's website.
“It’s been an honour and privilege to serve this great club for six years. I am happy with my contribution and leave with my chest high,”
“A big thank you to club president, the board, management, my teammates and more importantly the fans for their unwavering support.
“I wish the club well and hope for better things for them in the years ahead.”
