Reading have become the first side to launch their kits in space for the 2016-17 season, revealing the spectacular stunt on Wednesday morningvia Facebook Live on the club's Facebook page or on the their YouTube channel.
As well as the kits being launched into space, the club announced that the players would hostan open training session at the Madejski Stadium (free for members of the public) on Wednesday morning, where Jaap Stam's squad will be sporting the newly released kit.
Reading's announcement of their 2016-17 kits takes kit launches to a new height; quite literally, with the shirts heading upto a height of128,000 feet! The shirts will reach a maximum height of 39,084m, approximately four times the cruising altitude of a passenger jet, before coming back down to earth at a top speed of 211mph.
The home shirt features the club's signatureRoyal blue and white hoops, with the logo of principal sponsorCarabao featured on the front.
The away shirt also features the Carabao logo prominently, on an eye-catching bright yellow and black base.
