Real Madrid are urging Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann to resist any offer from Manchester United.

Griezmann is in talks with United about a move to Old Trafford next year.

However, Real are also keen and like United prepared to meet his €100m buyout clause - set from the New Year - so taking difficult negotiations with Atletico out of the picture.

Real coach Zinedine Zidane has been in regular talks with Griezmann, urging him to be patient. And president Florentino Perez has also now made contact.

Perez, reports Diario Gol, called the Frenchman to assure him that they will bid next year and to ignore any offer tabled by United.

Both Zidane and Perez have also made clear to Griezmann he will arrive as a first-choice, with one of the BBC (Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema or Cristiano Ronaldo) to be sold to make room for him.
