Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Forson Amankwah has been named in Ghana coach Otto Addo's starting eleven for the international friendly against Nigeria.

The 21-year-old, who earned a late call up to replace injured Elisha Owusu has been drafted into the starting line-up to face the Super Eagles.

Amankwah starts in midfield alongside Baba Iddrisu, and Salis Abdul Samed as they aim to secure victory against their opponent.

The highly competitive game has been scheduled to take place at the Grande de Stade Marrakesh in Morocco at 4pm.

Meanwhile, Jordan Ayew leads the team as captain in the absence of Andre Ayew, who starts from the bench.

Otto Addo will be hoping for a flying start in his second stint with the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars.

He replaced Chris Hughton following an abysmal performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Below is Ghana’s starting line-up:

Lawrence Ati-Zigi

Alidu Seidu

Patrick Kpozo

Jerome Opoku

Abdul Salis Samed

Baba Iddrisu

Antoine Semenyo

Ernest Nuamah

Jordan Ayew
