Ghana international, Osman Bukari has bid an emotional farewell to Red Star Belgrade following his transfer to Serbian giants, Red Star Belgrade.

The talented forward on Thursday, May 30, sealed a move to Major League Soccer outfit Austin FC.

In a statement to say goodbye to Red Star Belgrade and its fans, Osman Bukari said they will always hold a special place in his heart.

“As I type this, my heart is heavy with mixed emotions. After much thought, I’ve decided that it’s time for me to move on to the next chapter of my career. Leaving this team is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. I want to express my deepest gratitude to y’all.

“To my teammates, you have been a family to me. We’ve shared victories & defeats, laughter & tears. Your support and friendship have meant the world to me. To the coaches and staff, thank you for believing in me, pushing me to be my best, and guiding me through every challenge,” Osman Bukari said in a statement posted on X.

The Black Stars forward continued, “To the fans, your unwavering support has been incredible. Playing in front of you has been an honor, and your cheers have always lifted my spirits, even in the toughest moments.

“This team will always hold a special place in my heart. I wish you all continued success and will be cheering for you from afar. Thank you for everything Red and whites.”

Before kicking off his Austin FC stint, Osman Bukari is in Ghana for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Mali and Central African Republic.
