Former Asante Akyem North member of Parliament, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang has urged Prosper Narteh Ogum to resign from his role as Asante Kotoko head coach.

The former WAFA boss has come under massive pressure after failing to win any of their last eight games played in the second half of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

The woes of the Porcupine Warriors were deepened after losing 2-0 to Dreams FC on Sunday at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu in the Matchday 26 games. Kotoko's last win came against Bibuani Gold Stars last month.

Speaking to Asempa FM in an interview as monitored by Footballghana.com, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Digital Centers Limited called on Prosper Narteh Ogum to sacrifice himself before the club head to relegation.

"I hold the view that Prosper Narteh Ogum must sacrifice himself and resign from the club," the former National Sports Authority (NSA) Board Chairman said.

"In my lifetime of supporting Asante Kotoko, the club has never played eight games without a win.

"If care is not taken and we lose our next three games, we might end up heading to relegation.

"We as supporters will not allow that to happen and that is why the coach must do self-introspection and resign from the club.

"Otumfuo named him as part of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) and so perhaps, the members of the IMC can't tell him that he has to leave but with the current performance of the team, Prosper Narteh Ogum must leave the club.

"We will not wait for the club to be relegated before he leaves the club," he added.

Kotoko now sit 11th on the Premier League with 33 points and will face FC Samartex in the Matchday 27 games on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
