Maritzburg United No.1 goalkeeper Richard Ofori says he has a contract with club and wants to honour it amid transfer rumours

The 26-year-old has been linked with a summer move to Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns following his impressive performances for the Team of Choice.

However, the Ghana international insists that he remains focused on his duties at Maritzburg at the moment.

"Right now I have a contract with Maritzburg United and I want to honour it. Maritzburg United has been home and will always be home for me," Ofori told KickOff.com.

"So as for now, I am more concerned on how and when we will finish the league [instead of transfer talk] as we are still concerned about the uncertainties and people's lives based on the current situation of the pandemic that has hit the entire world.

"So right now all efforts need to be set in the right direction as the future awaits."

The former Wa All Stars shot-stopper has been nominated for the 2019/20 South Africa Premier League Best Player awards.
