Rocky Dwamena, the talented attacker of Asante Kotoko has shed light on his inspiring long-range goal against Tamale City.
With a touch of brilliance, Dwamena's remarkable strike stunned fans at the stadium.
Asante Kotoko signed Rocky Dwamena in September last year. The youngster joined the Porcupine Warriors from KHaris Sports Academy.
Dwamena has been rated highly by the club and was handed a three-year contract after impressing the technical team.
According to Dwamena, he saw that the Tamale City goalkeeper was off his line and his father was also at the stadium so he decided to take the chance to impress him.
“The goalkeeper is someone I know, I had played with him before joining Kotoko so I knew somehow he might be out of his line, and I was only waiting for a shooting opportunity and on that day I was desperate to score because my father was in the stands and I wanted to make him proud and luckily for me, I did get the goal but it was unfortunate that we couldn’t win,” he said.
Asante Kotoko ended the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season in 4th place with 52 points after 34 games.
