Roma hero Paulo Roberto Falcao is backing Carlo Ancelotti for the Italy job.
Ancelotti, available after his sacking by Bayern Munich, has been mentioned as a replacement for Giampiero Ventura after his dismissal.
Falcao admits he's spoken to the former AC Milan and Juventus coach about the Azzurri in the past.
Falcao told Sky Italia: "I know him very well, I told him three or four years ago that he should do a World Cup with a national team.
"Certainly, for Carlo it would be a great opportunity and it would also be a great choice for the Football Association."
