Juventus’ message of congratulations to Cristiano Ronaldo for winning UEFA’s Goal of the Season with his overhead kick effort for Real Madrid against the Bianconeri last season has been met with widespread ridicule on social media.
A lot of confused football fans were quick to point out the unusual nature of Juventus giving recognition to a goal that was so decisive in their own elimination from last season’s Champions League.
