Crystal Place manager Roy Hodgson has extended an open invitation to Black Stars coach Charles Akonnor to visit the club’s training ground.

Akonnor is expected to observe the Palace players including countrymen Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Sclupp train before their Premier League match against Everton on Saturday.

Akonnor is on a European tour to hold discussions with current players and potential new additions to the Black Stars.

Thus far, he has held meetings with five players – captain Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Jeffrey Schlupp, Christian Atsu and striker Tariqe Fosu-Henry.

He is expected to visit Ghanaian players in Spain, Italy, Germany, France and other European countries before returning to Ghana.

Akonnor was appointed last month and has been tasked to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and also qualify the team to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
