Black Queens emerged victorious against a defensive-minded Rwandan side in the second leg of the ongoing WAFCON Qualifiers.

Coach Nora Häuptle lauded her players' relentless effort in breaking through Rwanda's defensive line.

"The opponent was sitting deeper so then it demanded a different task we also think of course for future games already and tried out players in other positions. Today our Stella played on a full back position," she said after the game.

"You know Pep Guardiola also sometimes put the center players in full back so you can start the game very well in the full back position. Sometimes it is also to give them task so that they stay awake so I am satisfied," she added.

Ghana beat Rwanda 5-0 yesterday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

A hat-trick from Alice Kusi in the 22nd, 26th, and 37th minutes put the Queens in a comfortable position before Evelyn Badu increased the tally with the 4th goal in the 42nd minute.

Stella Nyamekye added the 5th goal in added time.

Black Queens will play Namibia in the final round of qualifiers in November.
