Samartex General Manager Edmund Ackah targets Ghana Premier League survival with four games to spare

General Manager of Samartex, Edmund Ackah says his outfit target is to survive relegation at the end of the Ghana Premier League season.

The Sameraboi-based club are currently 8th on the league standings with 42 points after 30 matches into the season.

In an interview with Accra-based Asempa FM, the former Asante Kotoko management member asserted his outfit intends to survive relegation for the season

“Most of the teams that qualifies to the Premier League normally fail to stay up in the league. The perception has always been that the teams just qualify to make up the numbers in the Ghana Premier League but we want to change the narrative”

“We want to stay in the league for the first season but from next season, we let Ghanaians know us well” he said.

The Ghana Premier League will go on break for the FA Cup semifinal games this weekend.

Samartex will travel to Kumasi to face King Faisal in the week 31 fixture next week.
