Samartex targets top six finish in Ghana Premier League

General Manager of Samartex, Edmund Ackah says his outfit target is to finish in the top six teams at the end of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

The Sameraboi-based club are currently 8th on the league standings with 42 points after 30 matches into the season.

With four games to end the campaign, Ackah, a former management member of Kotoko wants Samartex to finish the season on a high.

“Our target is not just to maintain our league status but to finish in the first six teams at the end of the season. Currently, we are 8th on the table with 42 points, so we are close to our target. We don’t want to be over ambitious” he told Asempa FM.

The Ghana Premier League will go on break for the FA Cup semifinal games this weekend.

Samartex will travel to Kumasi to face King Faisal in the week 31 fixture next week.
