Ghana midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah has stepped up training ahead of an anticipated move in the January transfer window.

The versatile player who excels when deployed in a left-wing-back role has been without a club since the summer transfer window was shut following the termination of his contract by Inter Milan.

The decision by the Italian Serie A outfit became necessary after the club had to sweat over his fitness for the most parts of the 2019/2020 football season.

As reported by footballghana.com prior to the termination of Kwadwo Asamoah’s contract, he remains a hot cake on the transfer market with a host of clubs interested in securing his services.

In the past months, Sampdoria, one of his suitors has kept an eye on him and making plans to make a swoop for him when the winter transfer window opens.

According to sources, the Serie A club after using available full-backs in the first half of the 2020/2021 season is now convinced that they need to reinforce that department of the team.

The club is now preparing to open talks with the representatives of Kwadwo Asamoah to secure his service in the January window.

To ensure he is fit, the Ghana asset has stepped up his training to keep himself fit before returning to the pitch. In the past few days, he has been spotted doing some serious gym work to stay in the best shape possible.
