Sassuolo defender Gian Marco Ferrari is interesting Leicester City.
Sky Italia says the Foxes hold an interest in Ferrari, who recently earned his first call-up for the Italian national team.
The 25-year-old has spent the season on loan at Crotone, but is contracted to Sassuolo, the club of January target Francesco Acerbi.
Ferrari played a key role for Crotone as they produced a City-style great escape to avoid Serie A relegation.
A tall, left-footed centre-back, Ferrari played all-but-one match for Crotone, who despite their relegation worries had the 11th best defence of the 20 Serie A clubs.
