In a new report by Italian outlet Libero, Inter are close to signing Peruvian defender Luis Abram, who will arrive on a free transfer.
Abram last played for Argentine club Velez Sarsfield before his contract expired at the beginning of July. A handful of European clubs were interested in the 25-year-old, especially due to his free agent status, and it seems Inter are the ones who prevailed over clubs like Olympique Marseille, who were also linked with the defender.
Abram is currently playing in the Copa America with Peru, who have reached the semi-final stage, so the deal will become official once the competition is over. Inter are expected to loan the defender out to Cagliari to help with his growth, before considering bringing him in to the nerazzurri squad.
