The 30-year-old made an instant impact on Wednesday in Swansea City 1-1 draw game with Sheffield at the Liberty Stadium.

The Ghana international struck a sweet leveller on the hour mark which earned Swansea a share of the spoils.

And Welshman Pulis described Ayew as one of the Championship's best players following the draw in south Wales.

"I thought we played really well in the first half, after the first 10 minutes of Swansea possession I thought we played into the space more and looked like a really good passing team," he said.

"We moved the ball through the pitch well with Reach, [Barry] Bannan and [Callum] Paterson and [Massimo] Luongo got to grips with the game.

"They changed their system in the second half, Ayew is one of the best forwards in the league and him come on was the difference.

"The psychological effect of him coming on was that our defenders took a step back and they then controlled the game."

Andre will be hoping to continue impressive when Swansea City play away to Nottingham Forest this weekend.
