Shilla Alhassan blames Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo for club’s struggles in Ghana Premier League

Former Asante Kotoko striker Shilla Alhassan has blamed assistant coach David Ocloo for the club’s poor performance in the Ghana Premier League this season.

The Porcupine Warriors has been dismal in the domestic top-flight and are currently ranked 11th in the standings with 33 points.

Kotoko experienced their seventh loss in their previous nine league matches in the Ghanaian top-flight after falling short to Dreams FC on Sunday in Dawu.

Speaking to Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com, Shilla Alhassan raised concerns about the capabilities of the assistant of the Ghanaian giants.

“Ocloo is not helping the team. He is not helping the coach in this difficult times. Ocloo was with Hearts of Oak last season and could not live up to expectations. Ogum is now confused and Ocloo is supposed to help but he is only doing the talking for the club” he said.

The Porcupine Warriors will play host to log leaders, Samartex in matchday 27 of the Ghanaian top-flight on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Life Patron of the Ghanaian giants, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has called for an emergency meeting amid struggles of the club.

Otumfuo will hold a crunch meeting on Thursday, April 19, 2024 with the playing body and Interim Management Committee to address the recent happenings in the team.
