Shots Fired! Watford Captain Troy Deeney Brands Arsenal Star a 'Bottler' for His Part in Kaboul Goal

Watford striker Troy Deeney has labelled Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey as a "bottler", after the midfielder failed to block Younes Kaboul's long shot for the Hornets' opener in their Premier League match 10 days ago.

The timing of the accusation is seemingly quite unusual, given thatboth teams have played in other games since their Emirates clash on January 31, but that didn't stop Deeney.

Asquotedby the Mirror, he said: "I think he bottled it a little bit; Ramsey's mistake was our blessing.

I have come up with Sean Dyche and Malky Mackay and if we had turned our back on the ball like that, they would have had strong words with us.

Kaboul's fierce drive somehowmade it's way into the back of Petr Cech's net and set the tone for the rest of the match, and the Hornets' shock victory put a huge dent in Arsenal's title challenge - a challenge that was all but ended in their following league fixture against league leaders Chelsea, which they lost 3-1.

Deeney's rubbing of salt into the wound won't go down too well with the player, who also limped out of the game early with a calf injury - he is now expected to miss the next three weeks and games against Liverpool, Bayern Munich home and away in the Champions League, and Sutton United in the FA Cup.

The 28-year-old captain, who also scored against Arsenal, has enjoyed another decent season at Vicarage Road, scoring seven league goals and three assists, helping to drag his side into a comfortable position of 10th in the table.
