Silva: Fully fit Pereyra will transform Watford

Watford boss Marco Silva says a fully fit Roberto Pereyra will be crucial this season.

Pereyra missed the second half of the season after a meniscus tear in his knee ended his campaign last December, but played the opening 45 minutes of Saturday's 0-0 draw at Aston Villa.

Silva said: "I want to get Roberto to a good level, his physical condition. He had a big injury last season, and on Wednesday was the first time he had played.

"He played 45 minutes on Saturday and hopefully he can play more next week.

"Of course, he is a big player but what we expect first is to put him in a good physical condition, get more minutes in his legs because he is one player with a lot of quality. If he can stay at a good level, our team will play better."
