Solskjaer ready to fight at PSG

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he has not given up on Manchester United's chances of progressing in the Champions League this season.

The United caretaker boss takes his side to the French capital to take on Paris St Germain who won the round of 16 first-leg at Old Trafford 2-0.

They go into away games now knowing that we can defend well and we've got pace on the counter.

However, Solskjaer travels to the Parc des Princes unwilling to forgo their place in the competition without a fight.

He told the club's official website ahead of their trip to Paris: "We can't write games off, we've been fantastic away from home, we're not going to go out without giving a fight.

"We're going to go out there and enjoy the game. We know it's a difficult place to come and they [PSG] played really well at Old Trafford, so it's a great challenge for our players to go out there and show what they can do."

United are 13/2 to win the game with PSG 9/20 and the draw on the night is 4/1. United are 80/1 to win 3-0 which would secure progression through to the quarter-finals.

United do travel in some confidence due to their form since Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho.

He has seen the team win eight in a row on the road and he paid tribute to the efforts of his players, adding: "It's an incredible achievement by the players. They go into away games now knowing that we can defend well and we've got pace on the counter."

United's chances of turning the tie around have been hampered by injury problems ahead of Wednesday's game.

Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Alexis Sanchez are all expected to miss the tie while Paul Pogba is definitely out due to suspension.

United are 125/1 to win the Champions League with PSG 5/1 and Manchester City 11/4.
