Son: I'm happy at Spurs

Published on: 23 September 2018

South Korea international Son Heung-min insists he is committed to Tottenham despite speculation linking him with a move to Bayern Munich.

Son only penned a new five-year contract with Spurs two months ago but the Bundesliga leaders are reportedly keen to bring him to Germany.

Son, who starred for his country at World Cup 2018 before helping them win the Asian Games, said after Spurs had ended a poor run by winning 2-1 at Brighton on Saturday: "I recently renewed my contract with Tottenham and I believe I need to focus on here to do more for the team. I'm happy at Tottenham."

Spurs had lost 2-1 to Inter Milan in the Champions League in midweek after suffering Premier League defeats to Watford and Liverpool so boss Mauricio Pochettino was keen to get back on track by beating the Seagulls.

The Argentinian said: "The victory was so important for us. We know it's tough to play here. Brighton are a very aggressive team on set-pieces and they're a team that works so hard.

"But we worked hard too and played well in different periods of the game.

"We were so aggressive and then with the ball we played some good football so I am happy with the three points, but more pleased with the performance and the reaction."

Manchester United are 11/10 to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, while Arsenal are available at 2/1, Tottenham at 5/6 and Chelsea at 3/10.
