South African businessman, Dr. Patrice Motsepe has insisted that the country has enough talent and should have been represented at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
According to the CAF President, South Africa has the most talented football players on the continent.
According to him, he is aware that just talking will not be enough but measures must be put in place to ensure the country becomes one of the best in the world when it comes to football.
“I have a duty to the rest of the continent, and I am a South African, and I’m grateful to this country. It’s made me what I am. “It makes me very sad because we should be there, we can be there, and we will be there. This country has the most talented football players, boys and girls,” Dr. Patrice Motsepe said.
The CAF president added, “Sometimes the real progress is not talking and responding as I do now, but it’s in private meetings, private discussions, and confidential meetings with a clear focus that South African football deserves to be among the best in the world and will be among the best on the world.”
Next year, South Africa will fight to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament scheduled to be staged in Qatar.
