Southampton manager Claude Puel is rumoured to be interested in bringing 24-year-old Laurent Jans, who has been capped 24 times for Luxembourg, to St Mary's in the January transfer window.
The Saints boss sees Jans, according to theMirror, as the solution to his right-back issues, with first-choice and Euro 2016 winner Cedric Soares on the treatment table alongside Jeremy Pied, while understudy Cuco Martina struggles for form.
The full-back, who currently plies his trade for Belgian Pro League outfit Waasland-Beveren, would become the first Luxembourger to appear in the Premier League, making his country the 106th to have a representative in the division's history.
