Spanish side Mallorca eye new left-back to provide competition for Lumor Agbenyenu

Spanish side Mallorca are eyeing a move for a new left-back to compete with Ghanaian defender Lumor Agbenyenu before the transfer deadline day.

Agbenyenu, who joined the La Liga side club in the summer on season-long loan deal has been impressive so far, however, coach Vicente Moreno is set to make a move for another left-back to provide competition for the Ghanaian.

Mallorca manager Vicente Moreno is interested in beefing up his squad with another left-back before the window closes on September 2.

According to reports in Spain, the coach has reiterated that he needs to enforce some positions in his team before the window closes in the next few days.

The 22-year-old completed a switch to the newly-promoted La Liga side from Portuguese fold Sporting Lisbon.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Turkish outfit Goztepe.

He made a combined 10 league appearances for Sporting and Goztepe, starting nine of the games.

He was a member of Ghana's team at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
