Spezia forward Emmanuel Gyasi reveals difficulty in staying away from family due to Covid-19

Ghanaian-Italian forward, Emmanuel Gyasi has revealed that it has been difficult to stay away from relatives because of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Of all the countries that have been hit with the pandemic, Italy remains one of the most affected after surpassing China as the country with the most recorded deaths.

As of Monday, March 23, 2020, the number of confirmed cases has jumped to 59,138 with a total of 5,476.

This has forced the suspension of football activities in Italy in the last couple of weeks while the country remain under lockdown.

Opening up on how life has become, Spezia attacker Emmanuel Gyasi says things have not been easy.

"I am locked in the house, in La Spezia. It is not easy to stay away from your parents and siblings, but you need to respect the rules”, he said.

The Ghanaian has been in fine form this season in the Italian Serie B and has scored 6 goals plus 2 assists after featuring in 24 matches.
