Spurs legend Jones: CL semi-finals aren\'t far away

Tottenham legend Cliff Jones claims that the North London club are not far away from playing in the semi-finals of Champions League.

Spurs have become a major force in Premier League under manager Mauricio Pochettino, and Jones is confident that they can repeat their domestic success on the continental front.

"I'm sure those glory days are coming back to the club," said Jones, who was a part of the Spurs side that won the 1961 double.

"I look at the club today and think about how things were in the 1959-60 season, everything was being set up. We had got the team together in terms of Danny Blanchflower, John White and Dave Mackay in the midfield, they were our main people.

"And I see that today. Terrific management, we had Bill Nick, they have Mauricio Pochettino. Now they have the new stadium along the line so it is all set up for them at some stage in the very near future for Spurs to do that double again.

"And why not a European Cup semi-final again as well?"
