Television Right holders for the Ghana Premier League, StarTimes Ghana has vowed to provide excellent coverage to help develop the league and football in the country.

The broadcast giants have been named as the official television right holders for the Ghanaian top-flight league. They have signed a five-year contract that will see the GFA pocketing a $5.25 US Dollars.

Speaking to Kumasi FM after the deal was completed, Felix Ahonzo who is the Chief Operating Officer StarTimes Ghana has assured that they are ready to provide good coverage for the league.

“It’s official now. We have been written to by the GFA and StarTimes have the official broadcast right for the next five (5) years”, he said.

He continued, “We have done a lot of investment in the Ghana Premier League and we are committed to developing Ghana Football and present it to the rest of the world and so the GFA did not relent on our quest to make that happen and so for that reason they have to eschew our vision.

“I will urge everyone to look at the kind of production we are putting. The images that will be displayed on TV going forward, the standard is very high. We assure Ghanaians they will love what we will begin to show on the Ghana Premier League. The production output is of high standards. You will only believe when you see it, I will not be able to speak enough of it now.
