Laryea Kingston, JoySports Euro 2020 commentator, has hailed former national teammate Stephen Appiah as the most technically gifted footballer he has ever played with.
“Tornado [Stephen Appiah] is someone I grew up with. For me, he is one of the best technical players that I have played with,” Laryea said during his punditry duties on Joy Prime.
Former Hearts of Oak and Juventus midfielder Appiah led Ghana's Black Stars to back-to-back World Cup appearances in 2006 and 2010, finishing in the round of 16 and quarter-finals, respectively.
Laryea, who assisted his captain in securing a ticket to the 2006 World Cup in Germany as well as the 2006 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt, claims his technical capabilities are incomparable.
Stephen Appiah had a 20-year career that earned him worldwide fame.
