Steven Gerrard Confirms LA Galaxy Exit With Instagram Post as Anfield Return Beckons

Steven Gerrard confirmed his exit from American side LA Galaxy via Instagram with a return to Anfield now beckoning for the 36-year-old whojoined Galaxy in 2015 and scored five goals in 34 outings for the MLS side.

The MLS season is now over and Gerrard said this on his Instagram, "Special place incredible view I will miss you LA" with Gerrard confirming his departure a return to his former club Liverpool is imminent whether it be a coaching or a playing role, it is destined to be.

A playing role in the first-team is unlikely for Stevie, but Gerrard's Instagram icon set ashim in a Liverpool strip, you can tell he is raring to get back in Merseyside. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed they are in talks with Gerrard over a return, but never stated what role he would have at the club.

Gerrard will have a lot of options and if the Reds route doesn't work out, then a move into punditry could be an option. Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher and Manchester United legends, Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes all took the pundit lifestyle when ending their careers and have been pretty good at it.

If a hands on role at Liverpoolisn't possible, then a role as ambassador could be on the horizon for Gerrard. He would still be involved with the club and would always be close by if ever needed by Klopp. Gerrard is set for a crucial couple of weeks when deciding on his future and hoping, just maybe the playing role with the Reds is possible.
