Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku is in line to serve a one-match suspension after the international break when the French Ligue 1 returns.

The Racing Strasbourg defender has been a regular for the club since the new football season in France commenced.

He has already been yellow carded three times this season and is set to serve a suspension as a result of the accumulation of the cards.

First, he was yellow-carded against Nice on Matchday 2, before going on to receive bookings against Saint-Etienne and Lille on Matchday 3 and 4th respectively.

Due to the yellow card accumulations, Alexander Djiku is set to serve a suspension after the international break per the rules of the Ligue 1.

He could either serve the suspension against Lyon on October 18 when Strasbourg make the trip or in the game against Brest the following matchday.

Meanwhile, the defender has been invited by the Ghana national team and will feature for the side during the international break in friendly matches against Mali and Qatar.
