Sudanese giants Al Hilal honours Asante Kotoko for club’s contribution to football development in Africa

Sudanese giants Al Hilal have honoured Asante Kotoko for their immense contribution to football development in Africa.

The Porcupine Warriors has been presented with a plaque from the management of Al Hilal to commemorate their contribution to the development of football on the continent.

The Chief Executive Officer of the two-time African champions, Nana Yaw Amponsah received the award on behalf of the club on Thursday.

The reigning Ghana Premier League Champions are currently in Sudan for preseason training as they seek to prepare massively for the new season.

On Tuesday, Kotoko engaged Al Hilal in preseason friendly game where they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Sudan champions.

They are expected to take on Al Hilal in a reverse encounter of the friendly on Friday.

Kotoko will play two more friendly games before they return to Ghana for the start of the season.
