Sulley Muntari consoles Christian Atsu's twin sister during visit to commiserate with the family

Former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari was at Christian Atsu's family house to commiserate with the family on Tuesday morning.

Muntari consoled Atsu's twin sister and signed a book of condolence opened in memory of the late winger.

Christian Atsu's body was met at the Kotoka International Airport by the Vice President, government officials, GFA, and the Twasam family on Sunday 19th February.

Meanwhile, the family is yet to announce a date for the final funeral rite of the former Chelsea winger.

The Ghanaian winger had recently scored his first goal for Hatayaspor just hours before the natural disaster struck.

During his career, Atsu played 65 matches for Ghana, scoring nine goals. Two of his most famous goals came in the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Egypt and in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, quarter-finals clash against Guinea, where he scored an absolutely breathtaking goal.
